Sun Nurseries Inc. has been growing plants for home owners since 1973. The original 20 acre parcel was purchased in 1971 and has grown into the facility you see today. In the 70s, Erik Rosenbaum opened the nursery for sales part time while he worked full time as an electrical engineer for Bendix Corporation. By 1981 the nursery was open full time. Since then Erik’s daughter, Annette Fentress, has taken over the family business.
The nursery has since added 94 more acres, a few miles away in Carroll County, Â to produce the tens of thousands of plants we offer for sale. We are committed to producing quality plants for our customers and have been for 40+ years.
Our family values drive the decisions we make in all aspects of business including product quality, customer education, and employee retention. When you visit the nursery, you will find our helpful staff of both Certified Professional Horticulturists and degreed professionals. We believe an educated customer is the best customer. To provide our services, our year round employees are our best assets. Our nursery associates, managers, designers, and landscapers stay on our payroll full-time, year round.
